2nd June 2016 - Day 18 - Tobermory to Lochaline

Tried to round the Ardnamurchen point to get around to the Small Isles but the wind was climbing in srength and the seas was growing so we decided to go for the easy option and turn back into the Sound of Mull.

Fighting a strong following wind and mainsail we were rocketting down the sound, still too uncomfortable so we dropped the maisail which was every threatening to gybe in the flukey wind and still achieved the same speed on genoa alone.

All the boats coming up the sound were close hauled and healed right over beating into the wind in very short tacks.

Further down the sound and the wind dropped completely. Into Lochaline and onto the newly installed pontoons.
